Modeling a Trophy for TableTop Day 2017
Code for 3D Scholars: Z:UFBZR UJF (We have a winner)
A few years back I modeled a trophy for International TableTop day, 2014. In my scattered interests in 3D printing I've wanted to do another for a while and this year inspiration struck. Take elements from board games and arrange them like the classic Star Wars movie poster. So I blocked out some time and did exactly that on a live stream. The final result is available now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oxDTLXrmTU
I admit I wanted more people to show up and join me. I sent out invites and tried to war people, but in the end no one joined me. Many of my 3D printing buddies were traveling to MWRRF, and the few board game buddies I had were also busy, so I'm goign to blame it on that. But I still enjoyed the time spent on stream and I may do it again if this gets a good after-stream response. but Hangouts causes my loaner computer to really crank up the fan, honestly I was amazed it made it the whole 2 hour stream successfully. That's why I need a new computer.
I'm going to take the test print to my FLGS and see if they're doing anything for TableTop Day, and if they are see if they want a few trophies. I hope you'll do the same.
