Believe it or not there is just a lot going on with this video.
First of all, this is the first video to feature my book's 20 second bumper at the end. I think this is going to be the new normal for a while. A surprising amount of work went into those 20 seconds.
Secondly, the omissions from my last video, that I posted on twitter, were appended to the end of this video. In that way this video's end is similar to the end of the Lord of the Rings movies.
A lot of clips that I've had sitting around on my hard drive for a while went into this video. This is the sort of video I wish I could do more often, but the overhead of gathering, then editing all of those clips, really makes this a labor intensive process. The question is whether this much effort pays off in the views or whether I wasted a not inconsiderable chunk of my time. My next video is a similar type of video, but much easier to produce and with less... everything in it. So we'll see. I really hope I can get away with the thinner videos because I can do many more of them.
