Scanning with a Kinect part 2

In my continued effort to scan with the Kinect I got a spinning chair at a second hand store so I could mount the Kinect stationary while I spin my kids around to perform the scan. How did it work?
Pretty good for the kids who can hold still while I spin them around slowly. For the ones who can't...
It's not the quality of an expensive scanner, but it's not bad. My kids are already putting in requests for edits they want, so that will probably be next. But I think this definately merits a purchase of Skanect.

  1. Was the export to print 3D at the trial version limit of 5000 faces or was that full paid version quality.

    1. It's been a while, but I think Scannect gave you a full quality scan, but inserted some branding and balls that were easily edited out.
